Boko Haram terrorists kill seven people after overpowering CJTF men

No fewer than 7 persons living in a remote village in Chibok local government area of Borno state were killed when gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram stormed the area.

It was gathered that the gunmen invaded the small village around 9am and started shooting sporadically at anything that moves.

According to a member of the Civilian Joint Task Force, Ishaiku Musa who participated in the evacuation process, seven dead bodies have been so far evacuated from the village, he also said that search and rescue were ongoing at the area.

Another member of the civilian joint task force claimed that the terrorist looted food stuff and other items after killing the said number of persons.

He however explained that the CJTF and some members of a vigilant group engaged the insurgents in a gun dual, but he said they were overpowered.

He also said several members of the village were missing after the attack which lasted for several hours. He said the CJTF are doing everything in their power to make sure they rescue some lost persons.
