The PDP in an attempt to evade of ADP’s election petition has since vacated their secretariat in Benin City, ChrisOsaMedia has gathered that haven observed that the ADP had petitioned INEC, PDP and it’s candidate Godwin Obaseki, workers who were stationed at party’s state secretariat vacated the building to avoid been serve the petition
In another development ChrisOsaMedia has also gathered that there is serious tension in the Governor’s camp as a copy of the petition placed on tribunal’s notice board on Tuesday was unduly removed by unknown men, this development has again raised doubts on PDP and Obaseki’s supposed Victory in the just concluded gubernatorial election
The ADP and it’s candidate Iboi Lucky Emmanuel filed a petition on Monday in Benin city against INEC, the PDP and it’s candidate Godwin Obaseki challenging Obaseki’s eligibility to contest in the September 19th gubernatorial election also citing several grounds why Obaseki should be disqualified
He pleaded that the votes credited to the candidate of the PDP Godwin Obaseki be declared null and void considering that he was never qualified to contest the election at the first place.
With this petition from ADP, it may be difficult for the PDP to prove to the court that its candidate was qualified to contest the election.
