The Edo Youths & Women Connect (EYWC), a famous humanitarian organization known for ”Alleviating Youths Restiveness & Empowering Women” through its motto ”Promoting Development Through Empowerment” Today officially flagged off its campaign for the reelection of Governor Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki & Rt. Hon Comrade Philip Shaibu who is contesting on the platform of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP).
The Support Group ably Led by its Chairman & Coordinator Comrade Obayuwana Bobby EGHOSA and Mrs Aisosa Joy Chris (Deputy Coordinator & Women Leader), today held a meeting in Uzebu Community where they unanimously decided to endorse both candidates based their Developmental Achievement in the past Four Years since their inception into power on November 12, 2016, up till date.
The group also took to the streets in Uzebu to canvass for support towards Obaseki & Shaibu’s reelection come September 19, 2020.
The group also beckoned on the need for empowerment of both youths and women in the Community through their Coordinator, by the Edo State Government whom they noted has done a lot towards advancing the course of the Good People of Edo State in all administrative areas that have brought more progress to the State.
They also stressed on the need for all well-meaning youths and women to come en masse and vote the Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) popularly know as ”Ekhara” on the day of the Gubernatorial elections in Edo State.
The group further admonished youths in the community to defend their votes, shun electoral violence and never be afraid to come out to cast their votes, as the leader noted that there would adequate security measures on ground by the Edo State Government towards curbing the planned motives of electoral irregularities in Edo State by any faceless individual or group.
They further advised the inhabitants in Uzebu to be very observant and security conscious, as it was a task of collective responsibility and as such, persons were advised to always walk in groups and not alone during this electioneering period of the campaign.
