Nigerian Army reacts to viral video of soldiers complaining about unavailability of weapons

In response to the video shared by Reno Omokri about Nigerian soldiers complaining about the unavailability of weapons required in the fight against Boko Haram, the Nigerian army has deny the allegation.

In the video, soldiers were seen heading home to celebrate the New Year with the family. The soldiers said they can not continue to risk their lives when nothing was provided for them in the fight.

The army who claimed the information was not the true and current condition of the Nigerian army, has this to say;

The attention of the Nigerian Army has been drawn to an old video clip circulating on the social media in which a supposedly soldier clad with an AK-47 rifle alleging lack of arms and ammunition, among other soldiers in a remote location walking. This is not true, as the video was recorded in 2014 and therefore cannot be a true reflection of the present reality. The public are please requested to discontenance the video clip.
